| Sumario: | Nowadays the Latin American universities have been required to be more active and effective in the
production and transfer of knowledge and scientific and technological advances. In response to this social
demand, governments have been implementing different management systems, monitoring and control to
help the assurance and quality improvement in the research process. In this paper we analyze, through the
case study of a regional university in Colombia, the measures it has taken from the academic, technical
and administrative support to consolidate their research activity and thereby comply with the requirements
demanded by the Assurance System Quality of Higher Education in Colombia. The results show relevant
impacts of public policy at the university’s research management regarding: institutional policies,
strategies and action approaches, interactive environments, media and administrative structure. |
