Sumario:The article outlines the problems that arise in a democracy as result of the tensions that derive from recognition problems. The proposition that it sustains is that the transformations of the demands for? Of recognition of the differences in demands, of recognition of the diversities are more adapted appropriate to the democratic citizenship. Being a concept that includes religious, political, cultural, ideological, economic, of genre and ethnic dimensions, among others, citizenship needs the recognition of the differences but on the acceptance of basic democratic consensus. This recognition has, consequently, an impact not only on the type of public policies that are applied but also on the political practices that are carried out. The study of Migration argentine Law 25.871 set the empirical issues to understand theoretical problems about democracy, citizenship and recognition.
