of development for the continent in the new millenium. The
author is mainly interested in what he considers to be the salient
features of the political economy of Africa, namely intense
ethnic conflicts and fragmentation of the African leadership; the
recurrence of military coups; poor performance in economic
development and corruption; and international marginalization
of the continent. |
