Sumario:Abstract: This article is part of a Ph.D. thesis about a faction of the Radical Party in Argentine called “antipersonalistas” in the thirties and fourties. It is about the making of a presidential candidate out of a member of the Army who had been War Minister in the twenties. The article shows how this man and his supporters built up a coalition of “antipersonalistas” radicals, conservatives, independent socialists and independent citizens in most of the provinces and on the national level, and won the elections in november 1932.
