| Sumario: | When heroic figures are on stage, an interesting tension between the theatrical literary discourse and historical discoure occurs, allegedly objective and untouchable, resulting in a literary imposed requirement of being as faithful as possible to that part of the history. In the case of heroes, rewritings of parts of the history that can be controversial occur. This research tries to review of the idea of historical hero and the forms it takes on Chilean theatre, particularly in the play Prat (2002) by Manuela Infante. Consequently, how this play works with the ideas of history and hero is researched, founding a new space from rewriting of tradition. |
