| Sumario: | This article focuses on the plays La razón blindada andNuestra señora de las Nubes, by Argentine playwright Arístides Vargas, who lived a part of his life exiled in Ecuador. We analyze how his construction of space and time is characterized by indetermination. This can be seen as a key element of his representation of memory and it can also be directly related to the atmosphere of exile. This peculiarity of his dramaturgy allows it to be redefined in each reading according to the different historical and philosophical backgrounds and it gives it an identity which is at the same time deeply Latin American and also universal. |
