As a cultural event, the Fogata will be studied through the lens of anthropology and performance, with a particular focus on the role street-theater artists play in organizing the event and their ties to the cultural politics that determine the public agenda of the neighborhood. En este trabajo se propone un análisis de la Fogata de San Pedro y San Pablo, una fiesta popular callejera del Parque Avellaneda, en la periferia oeste de la ciudad de Buenos Aires (Argentina). El evento será analizado en su carácter de actuación cultural a través del lente de las ciencias antropológicas y de los estudios de la performance, destacando particularmente el rol de los artistas de teatro callejero en su organización y su vínculo con las políticas culturales que regulan la agenda pública del barrio.
