| Sumario: | This paper aims to reflect on the complex interrelationships between territoriality and theatrical practice, specifically those that developed historically in the province of Salta and led to the formation of a distorted imaginary in this regard. In order to illustrate the material but, above all, symbolic limitations weighing on Salta's theater, a genre, musical comedy, and a paradigmatic play, Aquí no podemos hacerlo by Pepe Cibrián and Luis María Serra, were chosen. The analysis of the local staging carried out in 2002 under the general direction of Raúl Costaguta will allow us to draw some provisional conclusions about the intangible plot that is woven between theater, social imaginary and territory. |
