Sumario:In this article, our purpose is to identify and characterize from a syntactic perspective the hyperbata used by the sports reporters of a soccer match broadcasted by TV Azteca. Likewise, we have the purpose of determining the possible discursive functions that deploy the syntactic alteration of the structures in the discursive genre of the soccer narration. Based on the objectives, we took as an object of study the broadcast of a soccer match from the beginning of its transmission until it ends, a total of 132 minutes. From the above-mentioned material, we identified a total of 421 hyperbata of which 332 present the subject postposed to the verb, 64 display the direct object complement in initial position of the structure, 19 show a circumstantial complement in initial position with the subject displaced to the postverbal position, and 5 more cases reveal a structure with a nominal predicate at the beginning of the sentence.
