Sumario:The second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 includes among its fundamental recommendations the sanction, adaptation and monitoring of laws that regulate road behavior and the design and construction of infrastructure under a Safe System model. This paper analyzes the opinions of people from the general population of Argentina towards a set of actions aimed at increasing surveillance of the main road risk behaviors identified by the WHO (exceeding speed, driving under the influence of alcohol, not using helmet, seat belt or CRS) and modify the infrastructure to make it safer for vulnerable users. A stratified sample design was used, 2,072 people participated (55.3% women; 44.7% men). The most accepted measures were the need to wear a motorcycle helmet, increase efficiency when judging road violations and increase controls. Those that received less approval were increasing the spaces free of cars and motorcycles, reducing speed limits in residential areas, expanding cycle paths and bike lanes. Significant differences were observed by age, sex, type of city, mode of transport, and perceived probability of suffering a road accident.
