We propose to understand the deployment and activation of articulations of the individual-family, the institutional-organizational and the state, to create conditions of possibility of making effective -or not- the right to education. Methodologically, we adopt a qualitative approach to interpret from the perspective of the actors. We conducted semi-structured biographical interviews with Social Work entrants (UNLP) from FinEs2 secondary schools managed by organizations or municipalities; and we put this empiric in dialogue with data previously constructed by both authors in popular neighborhoods of La Plata. The question about the possibilities of expanding rights is framed within a larger field of forces that includes the tensions of overcrowding at the secondary level, the dispute over the definition of higher education as a human right, the controversy over the legitimacy of what is public and the contest for the rules and logics of social inclusion in Latin American capitalisms as is the case of Argentina. El objetivo de esta presentación es el análisis de la configuración de soportes que permiten la terminación de la educación secundaria y el ingreso a la universidad de jóvenes que viven en condiciones de pobreza en La Plata, provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina). Proponemos comprender el despliegue y la activación de articulaciones de lo individual-familiar, lo institucional-organizacional y lo estatal, para crear condiciones de posibilidad de efectivizar —o no— el derecho a la educación. Metodológicamente adoptamos un enfoque cualitativo para interpretar a partir de la perspectiva de las/os actores. Realizamos entrevistas biográficas semiestructuradas a ingresantes a la carrera de Trabajo Social (UNLP) provenientes de secundarios FinEs2 gestionados por organizaciones o municipios; y pusimos en diálogo esta empiria con datos construidos previamente por ambos autores en barrios populares de La Plata. La interrogación sobre las posibilidades de ampliación de derechos se enmarca en un campo de fuerzas mayor que incluye las tensiones de la masificación del nivel secundario, la disputa por la definición de la educación superior como derecho humano, la polémica sobre la legitimidad de lo público y la contienda por las reglas y lógicas de la inclusión social en los capitalismos latinoamericanos como es el caso de la Argentina.
