Sumario:The intersection between geography and the study of gender and sexuality has created a broad research field, with a particular focus on feminist geography and/or cisgender heterosexual women. These efforts provide a platform for a population which has been historically suppressed by state violence and by research which alternately exotices it or renders it invisible. In this article, we examine the ongoing construction of the field of trans* geography and analyze its main features. Finally, we suggest possible horizons and challenges for the development of a Latin American trans* geography.
