It seeks to understand the barriers that women face to participate in union politics and analyze the experiences of female organization and participation, based on the struggle strategies and gender demands in the gastronomic, fillet and packaging, textile and pastry chef unions. It is based on individual and collective research that has been carried out since 2018, and on interviews, field notes and secondary sources. The article is structured in three parts. The first section refers to a brief state of the art on research linked to labor and union organization in a gender perspective today. The second addresses the problems and difficulties that women workers face when organizing politically and unionly in the four selected Mar del Plata unions. The last section highlights different strategies and gender demands carried out in the sectors studied. El trabajo examina la organización sindical con perspectiva de género en cuatro sindicatos del sector privado de la ciudad de Mar del Plata, en la última década. Busca comprender las barreras que enfrentan las mujeres para participar en la política sindical y analizar las experiencias de organización y participación femenina, a partir de las estrategias de lucha y las demandas de género en los gremios de gastronómiques, fileteres y envasadores, textiles y pasteleres. Está basado en investigaciones individuales y colectivas que se llevan a cabo desde 2018, y en entrevistas, notas de campo y fuentes secundarias. El artículo se estructura en tres partes. El primer apartado refiere a un breve estado de la cuestión sobre investigaciones vinculadas a la organización obrera y sindical en clave de género en la actualidad. El segundo aborda las problemáticas y dificultades que se les presentan a las trabajadoras a la hora de organizarse política y sindicalmente en los cuatro gremios marplatenses seleccionados. En el último apartado se destacan diferentes estrategias y demandas de género llevadas a cabo en los sectores estudiados.
