This compilation, contains a total of 1,189 Guaraní surnames, collected by the author from parishes in former indigenous missions and villages. Of this number, only 79 (6.6 %) are in use today, with births covering not only Paraguay, but also Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile and Spain. In total, these surnames are carried by some 11,602 people, born in the last 150 years (1869-2019) in the area of extension. Asunción is the town with the largest variety of registered surnames (40 in total), and the department with the smallest amount is Boquerón (6 in total). The department of Caazapá concentrates the largest number of births of people with Guaraní surnames in the entire area. |

Este artículo presenta los apellidos guaraníes vigentes en la población paraguaya actual, conforme con la base de datos del Sistema de Identificación Policial de la Policía Nacional paraguaya ,a partir de una comprobación de la lista publicada por León Cadogan en Mil apellidos guaraníes ([1960] 2005). Esta recopilación, contiene en total 1.189 apellidos guaraníes, relevados por el autor en parroquias de las antiguas misiones y pueblos de indios. De esta cantidad, solo 79 (6,6 %) están vigentes hoy, con nacimientos que abarcan no solo Paraguay, sino también Argentina, Brasil, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile y España. En total, estos apellidos llevan unas 11.602 personas, nacidas en los últimos 150 años (1869-2019) en el área de extensión. Asunción es la localidad con mayor variedad de apellidos registrados (40 en total), y el departamento de menor cantidad es Boquerón (6 en total). El departamento de Caazapá concentra la mayor cantidad de nacimiento de personas con apellidos guaraníes en toda el área. Este artigo apresenta os sobrenomes guaranis atuais na população paraguaia, de acordo com o banco de dados do Sistema de Identificação Policial da Polícia Nacional do Paraguai, com base na consulta à lista publicada por León Cadogan em Mil apellidos guaraníes ([1960] 2005). Esta compilação contém um total de 1.189 sobrenomes guaranis, coletados pelo autor em paróquias das antigas missões e aldeias indígenas. Desse número, apenas 79 (6,6%) ainda são válidos atualmente, com nascimentos abrangendo não apenas o Paraguai, mas também Argentina, Brasil, Bolívia, Uruguai, Chile e Espanha. No total, esses sobrenomes são usados por cerca de 11.602 pessoas, nascidas nos últimos 150 anos (1869-2019) na área de extensão. Assunção é a localidade com a maior variedade de sobrenomes registrados (40 no total), e o departamento com o menor número é Boquerón (6 no total).
