| Sumario: | The paper revolves around a lawsuit over the lands of Guaco, current province of La Rioja in which, around 1643, several families of denaturalized Indians, members of the Malfín and Andalgalá ethnic groups, belonging to the large Diaguita group, were reduced to encomienda. Thus, based on a precise case study, the actions of the institutions operating in Colonial Tucumán, their executors and the consequent indigenous behavior are observed. In other words, the process of destructuring caused by the denaturalization of the Indians that followed active periods of war is illustrated. |
