| Sumario: | Literature creates identity. It is a semiotic field where representations and identitarian semes circulate and get discussed, consolidated, rejected, reproduced and transformed. In the present article, we will go over some identitarian representations and constructions in Rusia, in relation with the “messianic idea”, and in other Slavic countries in relation with panslavism in the XIX th century. It is our purpose to show the interrelation between literary works, as they can be seen in a series of writers, and these circulating ideas of the time, that writers themselves, in many cases, consolidate not only through their literature, but also with their essays. All in all, several identity profiles arise for the same people, many a time even contradictory, which depend, this is our hypothesis, on the political projects they participate of and to which they provide a basis. |
