Sumario:This document aims to analyze how an armored vehicle like the M3-A1 “Stuart” played a role in several events in Colombian national life during its service. It is based on the hypothesis that this vehicle can be used to revisit several events in the country’s military history. The work is structured around three parts: the first examines how it arrived in Colombia; then, how it was used doctrinally; and finally, how the Stuart fell into disuse. It was developed through an inductive and qualitative exercise based on a review of primary and secondary sources, such as books, interviews, newspapers, decrees, private and official memoirs, archival sources, photographic and video material, manuals, military regulations, and institutional publications.
