The purpose of this work is, on the one hand, to publicize the charity La Mensa dei Bambini and, at the same time, to study to what extent citizenship of a neutral country provided Faiwel with protection to contribute to the cause. Estudio de caso de un ciudadano argentino naturalizado residente en Italia: Leiba Wolf  Faiwel. Se focaliza en la comunidad judía de Milán durante los años 1938-1943, contexto de crisis de refugiados provenientes de territorios bajo el dominio del Tercer Reich y de aplicación de medidas antisemitas. El propósito del presente trabajo es, por un lado, dar a conocer la obra benéfica La Mensa dei Bambini y, al mismo tiempo, estudiar en qué medida la ciudadanía de un país neutral le brindó a Faiwel protección para contribuir a la causa.
