The group performs ethnographic work around and along with the Sarau Divergente, a street event which a sarau in Cinelândia, downtown Río de Janeiro, has been holding since 5 years ago, and which is managed primarily by professionals of the Carioca funk genre, but not limited to this musical genre. It is a predominantly black space that is based on the struggles against the Genocide of the Black People and the ancestral Afro-Brazilian poetics-epistemology-spirituality. This article is called meta-ethnography because it is an ethnography/self-ethnography carried out collectively since January 2016, setting forth its reports on the challenges and possibilities of this type of methodology from a diversity of points of view. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los múltiples puntos de vista contenidos en una misma investigación-acción participativa, realizada por el Grupo de Investigación en Etnomusicologia Dona Ivone Lara (GPEDIL), que fue creado en el ámbito de la investigación doctoral en marcha de Pedro Mendonça. El grupo lleva a cabo trabajo etnográfico en torno y junto al Sarau Divergente, evento de calle que hace 5 años realiza un sarau en Cinelândia, centro de Río de Janeiro, gestionado mayoritariamente por profesionales del género funk carioca, aunque no se limita en este género musical. Se trata de un espacio mayoritariamente negro que tiene como base las luchas contra el Genocidio del Pueblo Negro y la poética-epistemología-espiritualidad afro-brasileña ancestral. Este artículo se auto denomina “meta-etnografía” por tratarse de una etnografía/auto-etnografía efectuada colectivamente, realizada desde enero de 2016, y porque dedica sus relatos a los desafíos y posibilidades que este tipo de metodología presenta, desde una diversidad de puntos de vista. Este artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar os múltiplos pontos de vista contidos em uma pesquisa-ação participativa realizada pelo Grupo de Pesquisa em Etnomusicologia Dona Ivone Lara (GPEDIL), criado no âmbito da investigação doutoral em andamento de Pedro Mendonça. O grupo realiza trabalho etnográfico em torno e junto ao Sarau Divergente, evento de rua que há cinco anos realiza um sarau na Cinelândia, gerido prioritariamente por profissionais do gênero funk carioca, mas não se esgotando nesse gênero musical. Um espaço majoritariamente negro que tem por base as lutas contra o genocídio do povo negro e a poética-epistemologia-espiritualidade afro-brasileira ancestral. Este artigo se autodenomina como metaetnografia por ter como foco uma etnografia/autoetnografia realizada coletivamente desde janeiro de 2016, pautando seus relatos sobre os desafios e possibilidades deste tipo de metodologia em uma diversidade de pontos de vista.
