Sumario:Several authors have pointed out the explicit and implicit references in the work of Nicole Oresme to the Defensor pacis of Margsilio of Padua. Some of them have raised from them the existence of a "Margsilian twist". Although this presence is clear, the degree of attachment of Oresme to Margsilian postulates has not been explored in depth. An analysis of contextual factors and a textual analysis of the De moneta and the Livre de Politique allow us to establish some differences, from which arises a model that presents certain limits to Oresme’s attachment to the postulates of the philosopher from Padua.
