Sumario:This article presents reflections on the categories of adolescence, socio-educational measures, governability, moralities and subjectivity through an ethnography about experiences of crime life, and centered on narratives of boys and girls in compliance with socio-educational measures in the southern region of Brazil. It discusses the moral dimension that permeates the discourses and practices of/about these subjects, and especially the State’s management of them through processes of judicialization, tutelage, institutionalization and moral orthopedics. It also reflects on the effects of these processes on the production of subjectivities as well as the subjects’ resistances.
