In that respect the work is divided into two parts. The first one explains some considerations related to the notion of «context» itself. After some references different levels o scale of context are mentioned to point out certain hegemonic tendencies. In the second part some clues of the continuity of such tendencies to the level of the daily schooling are analized. Este artículo deriva de una línea de investigación que desarrollamos en contextos de pobreza urbana y diversidad socioétnica. Se intenta presentar determinados planteamientos de carácter teórico-metodológico con el objetivo de discutir las problemáticas de la contextualización de configuraciones cotidianas de procesos bajo estudio. En tal sentido, el trabajo cuenta con dos partes. En la primera, se explicitan algunas consideraciones relativas a la misma noción de «contexto». Luego, se hace referencia a distintos niveles o escalas contextuales para señalar ciertas tendencias hegemónicas. En la segunda parte, se presentan algunos indicios de la continuidad de tales tendencias a nivel de la cotidianeidad escolar.
