| Sumario: | With Rosas’ downfall, a new possibility for the implementation of the project to establish the administrative structures that characterize the liberal State emerged in the province of Buenos Aires. With this intention, the first instance criminal courts were established in rural areas. Through the study of the norms that ruled them, their implementation,and the juridical practice of the Court of the Southern Jurisdiction, sited in Dolores, this paper studies the difficulties and slow achievements in the establishment of a new juridical practice in the southern frontier of Buenos Aires during this stage. The paper includes a quantitative analysis of the processes administered by the Court during the period under consideration. |
