Sumario:This paper presents the initial findings of a longitudinal study that began in 2016, aimed to analyze the taphonomic trajectories of guanaco bones in the Ernesto Tornquist Provincial Park (PPET), located in the central sector of the Ventania Ranges in the southwest of Buenos Aires province (Argentina). The sample consists of seven individuals deposited in different environments within the PPET, with varying degrees of disarticulation, dispersion, and burial. The text presents a detailed description of each case, including the methodology used for observation and data analysis. The observations provide relevant information about the impact of the different thanatic and taphonomic agents currently active in the study area. Specifically, the data obtained allow us to assess differences in decomposition rates, bone disarticulation, and dispersion of the remains compared to cases recorded in other geographical areas of the country.
