The relationship that the sophist establishes between these two dimensions has been interpreted in the literature in, at least, three different ways: some argue for a complete opposition between conventional law and natural order; others suggest a conflict or tension that falls short of outright opposition; and finally, there are those who perceive the potential for complementarity between the two realms, in the sense that the nomos regulates (not only with prohibitions, but also with positive commands) aspects of physis. This paper aims to explore the different interpretations of the nomos/physis relationship and, in agreeing with the third stance, to advance towards the formulation of some additional ideas about the role that conventional law plays in determining favorable courses of action. In the end, this paper seeks to challenge the thesis that Antiphon denies law, while at the same time attempting to propose, from a legal point of view, some (possible) characteristics regarding how the properties of a truly advantageous nomos could be. En el conocido debate nómos/phýsis, una de las fuentes más importantes es el fragmento 44 de Antifonte. La relación que traza el sofista entre ambas dimensiones ha sido interpretada en la literatura de, al menos, tres formas distintas: una parte dice que la ley convencional se opone por completo a lo natural; otros, afirman que hay más bien un conflicto, una tensión que no llega al extremo de la oposición; y, por último, hay quienes ven la posibilidad de una complementariedad entre ambos planos, en el sentido de que el nómos regula (no solo con prohibiciones, sino también con mandatos positivos) aspectos de la phýsis.  El propósito de este trabajo es explorar las diversas maneras de entender la relación nómos/phýsis, y avanzar, siguiendo la tercera postura, hacia la formulación de algunas ideas adicionales sobre el rol que tiene la ley convencional en la determinación de cursos de acción favorables. Se busca rechazar la tesis de que Antifonte niegue el derecho y, al mismo tiempo, se intentará proponer, desde un punto de vista jurídico, algunas (posibles) características respecto a cómo podrían ser las propiedades de un nómos verdaderamente ventajoso.
