Sumario:In this paper we will deeply analyze the autonomy of the city of Buenos\nAires, comparing it with Argentina?s 23 provinces. At the same time, we will consider\nthe problems derived from the interpretations of the Supreme Court and we will try to\nprove that the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires should be treated in the same was as\na province is currently treated. In order to achieve a comprehensive understanding of\nthe subject will briefly present some historical facts starting from the federalization in\n1880. Also, we will emphasize on those issues that, I believe, violate equality. We will\ntry to make clear which are the legal consequences of not being considered a province\nand, finally, we will start a preliminary approach to the study of the relation between\ntownships and municipalities
