Sumario:In 2008 the Supreme Court of Justice passed judgment in the case\n?Mendoza?, an environmental judicial process based on section 41 of the Constitution\nand the General Environment Act. During the process, the Matanza-Riachuelo Basin\nAuthority was created and new rules about jurisdiction were established.\nThis article was written in order to reveal the effects of Matanza-Riachuelo Basin\nAuthority and these rules on the environmental regulation powers and jurisdiction in\nCity of Buenos Aires, on the basis of the concept of police power and the constitutional\ndistribution of powers among Federal State and Local Governments.
