| Sumario: | The topic addressed in this research results from a comparative analysis of three editorial references aimed at young people between 1965 and 1975; the magazine Ritmo de la juventud. \nAmong the wide range of mass media communication of the 20th century, the magazine as an editorial intermediate and object of material culture has been faced from different theoretical approaches. Although the journal?s communicative nature spans multiple spheres of knowledge, the truth is that they have been addressed mainly from the areas of communication and linguistics, especially from semiotics, theories of enunciation, and discourse analysis. \nFrom another perspective, it is undoubted that the prominence acquired by the journal as an object of communication has played a crucial role in shaping the modern and contemporary graphic environment. In this sense, it should be noted that, although they have provided a considerable space for the visual environment, studies have not abounded from the design as a discipline that has already built its own theoretical matrices. This study is framed as a reflexive proposal within this vacuum. It is proposed here that the design process, as responsible for the processes of production of the visible, rather than reflecting a specific age group in each of the journals, consists of the instance or operational place where it is possible to construct and transform notions of specific youth. |
