Sumario:The question this paper aims to answer is whether a liberal market democracy upholds or corrodes democratic stability. The theoretical framework we choose is economic theory of democracy and deliberative democracy theory. The first theory allows us to examine the flaws of a liberal market democracy in the light of democratic stability and the second theory allows us to explore the relation between deliberative democracy and democratic stability. Finally, we conclude that deliberative democracy might ensure democratic stability
