Sumario:Veterinary drugs are a set of substances used to prevent and control animal diseases, including antibiotics, hormones, antiparasitics, etc., viewed from the agro-livestock scope as a needed tool and of especial value to reduce the economic losses, that pose the occurrence of new diseases, which could also be a reason of concern for food security, although, unsuitable use could lead to \nan environmental stress, as well as constitute a risk to public health, being the source of diffuse pollution one of the main way in which these compounds reach the environmental matrices. \nFurthermore of maintaining an good farming practices applications, it is important to take into account the effective accomplishment of regulations in force, as a fundamental to environmental protection, as it could ensure both quality and correct use of these veterinary drugs even protect the environmental against empty container production, which could carry an unexpected pollution of soil and water and also generate an unwanted effect on fish, invertebrates and plants, so that if there is not public control or regulations compliance, the risk posed by the use of these drugs will outweigh the benefits. This study aims to assess the degree accomplish of regulations in force for \nthe management of veterinary drug waste. For this, the existing legal norms in Argentina were \nsurveyed, analyzed and compared and the knowledge of degree of populations was estimated, \nthrough the confection of surveys that were carried out remotely to cattle farmers. From analysis \nperformed, it was possible to observe that even though Argentina has a legal norms that set up an environmental criminal regimen, the criminal code no provide an integral criminal environmental \nprotection. Additionality, following a wide set of analyzed laws, both United State and Europa and \nmost of the Latin-American countries have a regulatory framework applied to the use of veterinary drugs in several stage, although some in central America in low magnitude. On the other hand, it is important stand out that due to the low numbers of responses of the applied surveys, the limited \ninformation did not may be considered enough representative to know the implementation degree \nof legislations in force.
