Sumario:In September 2016, a Peace Agreement was signed to end more than fifty years of war between the Colombian State and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People's Army (FARC-EP). The laying down of arms by the oldest active guerrilla in the world demanded the creation of a Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP), designed to judge the crimes committed as a result of and in the course of the armed conflict. It was agreed that representatives of the armed forces could also attend the JEP, on the understanding that the State was a relevant actor in the conflict and that the truth told by military personnel, who even committed crimes against humanity, could help to clarify decades of war and contribute to the reparation of victims, under a paradigm of restorative justice. This article analysis of the first hearing held by the court within the framework of Case 003, on deaths unlawfully presented as casualties in combat by representatives of the State, from the perspective of a group of victims whose sons were killed by the Army within the framework of a policy known as false positives. The purpose of the text is to analyze, through their testimonies, whether the audience met the group's expectations in terms of truth, justice and reparation .
