| Sumario: | The way in which the production of clothing is carried out has become a threat to the environment, due to its high harmful impact on natural resources and society. This industry is the second most polluting in the world, responsible for polluting the planet's waters and emitting a high amount of greenhouse gases. It is known that of the total number of textile fibers used, almost 60% derive from oil, that is, from a non-renewable resource. Regarding the social impacts in the sector, there are unhealthy and insecure working conditions and worker exploitation. The inequity is such that only between 1 and 2% of the total cost of the garment is the remuneration received by the person who made it.
In order to reduce the aforementioned impacts, this thesis aims to create an interaction model to collaborate with a sustainable clothing production through the articulation of the knowledge of the actions of the stakeholders (social actors involved in the process) and the analysis of strategies. that mitigate the environmental impact in the Mar del Plata industry. This contribution will allow companies to incorporate improvements that allow them to go to market with more efficient products. Achieving these sustainable production standards, in addition to contributing to reducing the environmental impact, will help position the Argentine industry in international production standards. To achieve this objective, we worked from the perspective of qualitative-quantitative inquiry, through primary and secondary sources.
The results obtained indicate that the frequent relationship index between stakeholders is positively correlated with the sustainability index. Based on these results, it can be assumed that if companies interact frequently with their stakeholders, it is likely that their sustainability index will increase, which implies an increase in the incorporation of sustainability strategies.
The old production logic is changing, due to multiple pressures from the consumer, the costs of raw materials and the growing need to reduce negative environmental and social impacts. For that, there are management strategies, some of which are developed in this thesis.
The company must be aware that the city in which it is inserted has social and environmental needs. Today there are companies that are certified in different types of processes and there are also companies that tend to a circular economy. Vertical communication is being left aside to give way to 360° communication with all stakeholders. Inevitably, perhaps more out of necessity than desire, sustainability is advancing as a new productive paradigm. |
