Sumario:This research explores reciprocal frames from an architectural perspective, highlighting them as a tool for the design process, taking advantage of their morphological, constructive, structural and spatial potential. Within these structures and focusing on a subgroup of horizontal flat systems, different proposals are examined throughout history, comparing their structural behavior and constructive efficiency. Once the analysis of how these systems works, a reciprocal structural and constructive method is proposed to consolidate walkable mezzanines by means of wooden braces and industrialized metal joints.
