Sumario:Starting in the mid-1980s and with greater force during the 1990s, some international economic and political trends were imposed that profoundly changed the approach to urban problems and the type of public policies adopted.\nIn most cities, many districts have been the subject of a refunction policy, through public policies that financed processes of regeneration, requalification and revitalization. According to above, the following question arises: how did the neoliberal public policies, since the 19990s, affect the urban and social fragmentation in the different districts of the Ciudad Autónoma of Buenos Aires and in particular La Boca district? This led to the development of a specific analysis of the different mechanisms that encourage the transformation of Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (CABA). Through the analysis of the urban policies of CABA, we observed a strong fragmentation of the territory, that is to say, the division of the city into small units with no coordination with each other with the rest of the urban structure. Keeping this objective in mind, we considered the processes of urban rehabilitation that generate and deepen the social division and territorial stigmatization. In this way, the southern area of Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires was chosen, because it has the quality of being the subject of the different urban public policies and private investments in the last decades.\nIt is concluded that the gentrification, the interstices and the fragmentation, appear simultaneously in the different process of urban renewal. This way, the categories mentioned become an important issue in the case studies of La Boca District since it represents the place where it has been more obvious the gentrification dynamics with the consequent implications in the population: segregation, exclusion and stigmatization.
