Sumario:Access to COVID-19 Vaccines: Impact of Patents. -- Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic brought to light the problem regarding access to vaccines, diagnostic kits and other vital treatments. With the development and approval of the first vaccines and the start of vaccination, the inequality of production and distribution was made evident. The impact that intellectual property has on the capacity of production and the availability of technologies to deal with the pandemic needs to be noted. Nowadays, the WTO is evaluating the possibility that members release all technologies related to COVID-19 of intellectual property.
