Sumario:Title: The Evolution on the Prohibition of Discrimination in the European Union. -- Abstract: This text focuses on the evolution of the prohibition of discrimination in the European Union. It starts from the end of the Second World War, period characterized by the transnationalization of Constitutional Law, which will entitle the transformation of the nation-state, due to the emergence of supranational law, together with the internationalization of human rights, which will turn into the coexistence of groups of final interpreters of the different legal systems, whose tensions will be solved by means of a fluid and constant dialogue. Afterwards, it refers to the prohibition of discrimination within the European Union according to its legislation, which comprises its primary law as well as directives related to the topic that are part of the secondary law. In addition, it deals with the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union, CJEU, regarding discrimination based on racial or ethnic origin and religion beliefs in the workplace. Finally, conclusions are formulated.
