Sumario:Title: The Democratic Deficit in the Parliament of the Regional Integration. --Abstract: The integration processes have incorporated parliamentary bodies into their institutional structures in order to democratize said process and include the representation of its citizens. This aspect is linked to the impact that these processes have on issues of the public agenda of which citizens are part, related to central issues of their lives, such as security, health, education, trade, among others. However, said representation in the parliaments of regional integration processes, goes through conflicts, and debatable considerations, which manifest a distance with the citizens they represent. The purpose of this chapter is to analyze the different axes that make democracy and political representation in the parliaments developed within the systems of the European Union, Southern Common Market, Andean Community and the Integration System Central American.
