| Sumario: | Family and Supports for the Person with Disabilities\nAbstract: In relationships within the family there are links of protection and assistance for people in situations of dependency. Among them, we can mention people with intellectual disabilities. This personal care, throughout a lifetime, constitutes an arduous task and therefore there are professional devices to delegate some of these activities. We will see in this article that Argentine legislation is diffuse and unclear in the treatment of the relationship between people with intellectual disabilities and their families. In fact, the term "person with intellectual disability" is not even used in the Civil and Commercial Code. This omission brings some ambiguities in the interpretation of the supports. |
