Sumario:La Para is a town of 3,000 habitants located northeast of the Province of Cordoba. We determine the seropositivity status to Chagas? disease in dogs, important domectic reservoirs of the disease. The urban area was divided into 10 areas of the village, taking 90 samples in total, estimating a canine population of 767 animals. The serodiagnosis was made through the serological test Enzyme Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay and indirect immunofluorescence. 11.11% of the samples were positive on both tests. Half of owners of affected dogs did not know the disease. The results obtained in the town of La Para provide valuable information to implement health actions deep in the town and the region, due to high prevalence of seropositivity in dogs and the lack of updated data on human prevalence in the region.
