Sumario:This work addresses the criminal teaching by Carlos Tejedor in his Course in Criminal Law. The objective is to unravel the origin of the sources in the first Argentine teaching text dedicated to criminal law. The work, authored by one of the most prominent Rio de la Plata jurists, was edited in Buenos Aires in 1860 and republished in the same city in 1871. The investigated subject is inserted in the history of the teaching of law and the circulation of the legal ideas at the University of Buenos Aires.
