| Sumario: | Can disclosure of private photographic and video material (or "revenge porn"), sextortion, identity impersonation and digital abuse/harassment, be considered as new ways to impose gender-based violence? The aim of this piece is to explain how these actions, when conducted against women, are a true form of what is known as gender-based violence. This research project was conducted by María Florencia Zerda in June 2017, and presented as a term paper for the 2016 Program on Gender and the Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). It was updated in April 2018 with Marina Benítez Demtschenko. |
