| Sumario: | This article delves into the thesis in which conservative religious groups have largely abandoned the religious rhetoric to oppose advances in sexual, reproductive and family freedom, switching into the legal argumentation, based on the interpretation of principles and rights embodied in both domestic constitutions and international human rights legal instruments. Particularly, the proposal of the essentially controversial concepts by W.B. Gallie is used to identify main contested constitutional concepts and their main features, to achieve a better understanding of the disputes around issues such as legal abortion, same-sex marriage or sexual education, or so. |
