Sumario:Leptospirosis is a worldwide zoonosis that affects different animal species. The main source of infection is the environmental contamination with urine of infected animals. Diagnosis is difficult in dogs and humans because of the varied clinical signs presented. The aim of this study was to evaluate the most frequent clinical, biochemical and hematological variations in canines seropositive for different Leptospira interrogans serovars. 44 dogs with clinical signs and positive serology and 25 clinically healthy dogs and seronegative were studied. Complete clinical evaluation was performed and blood samples were obtained with and without anticoagulant for serological diagnosis, hematology and the evaluation of liver and kidney function, by the determination alkaline phosphatase, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, and creatinemia uremia. The results showed a high percentage of sera that coaglutinated and significant differences in red and white blood cells count, and in the variables used to assess liver and kidney function. The most common clinical signs were malaise, anorexia, vomitig and abdominal pain. The usage of different techniques encourages early diagnosis and allows appropiate therapy, prognosis improvement and assist in prevention.
