Sumario:Brucellosis is a contagious worldwide disease that affects domestic animals, and humans; whose etiological agents are bacteria of the genus Brucella. Among the most important infectious reproductive diseases that affect sheep, Brucella ovis is the most significant. In the province of La Pampa, the only and last antecedents on this disease in sheep were done in 2008, and all the animals were negative. The aim of this study was to analyze the cases of ovine brucellosis in mix farms of La Pampa province, under the requirements and regulations of SENASA Res. 545/2015, for analysis of ovine Brucellosis.\nThe trial was carried out in nine settlements of the north of the province. They were examined and took blood samples from 270 sheep, 78 females and 192 males. Agar gel immunodiffusion, and Buffer Plate Antigen (BPA) were performed in the laboratory. The results from a total of 270 samples were 268 negative animals, and only 2 reactive to Brucella ovis. These results indicate that working properly it is possible to generate free areas of ovine brucellosis and in this way support the development of sheep activity, which acts as a defense mechanism for small and medium producers.
