Sumario:This paper will explore the strategies deployed by a space of sociability of a cultural nature in Tucuman that in the late nineteenth century developed a series of tasks related to the construction of a civic-national imaginary. Throughout this research study the linkages between this area and the University Union of Córdoba and Buenos Aires who organized a series of patriotic celebrations in conjunction with the association of Tucumán. "Patriotic youth pilgrimages", performed throughout the 1890's, it served to evoke independence, thereby serving a dual concern: on the one hand, to wise patriotism among Tucumán Argentina, but on the other hand to highlight the importance of the history of the province in the great national story. Furthermore, these events were also used as a tool of denunciation or political legitimacy to the importance that gave (and the place) the various state administrations in these patriotic provincial celebrations.
