Sumario:This paper aims at studying the evaluation tool in the Brazilian legal education. The main thesis supported by the authors regards the necessary relation between teaching methods and evaluation, in such a way that the evaluation can acquire different conformations according to the corresponding method. Once reflections about the trend of use of active learning in Brazilian Law Schools are made, the text analyzes evaluation in the context of the most relevant active learning methods. By the end, we conclude that evaluation is a useful tool for teaching law in order to retain subjects, develop abilities and improve the idea of students as protagonists of their own learning process.
