Sumario:Over the last decades, a world trend has been inaugurated consisting in the recognition and regulation of the right of every citizen to access to public information, conducting to a new way of administration and public management. Recognizing the importance of this right in strengthening democracy, OAS's General Assembly adopted in 2010 the Access to Public Information Model Law, being its main aim to increase the capability of state members in transparency and equitable access to public information. This Model Law contains a series of principles that works as parameters which helps to evaluate the regulation quality of legislation. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the normative reception of this right at the subnational level in Argentina and, throughout a comparative study of the provincial legislation, determine the regulation quality of these laws taking the OAS's Model Law as a reference.
