| Sumario: | The new economy is a global economy and an economy organized as a network, and none of these factors can operate without the other. Therefore, it has a technological base, of information and communication and has a central way of growing organization, that's the Internet. Internet isn't a technology, it's a way of organization The equivalent of the Internet in the industrial age was the factory: what the factory was in the industrial age, the Internet is in the information age. The dissemination of intellectual property by the network is the most recent event related to copyright, and raises many issues, including the massive download of files in most cases, free of charge, to illegal content in violation of intellectual property rights and the alleged liability of service providers in the Web in such activity. The aim of this paper is differentiate between the various subjects involved in the process of "publication" of a work via the Internet, the necessary intermediaries, providing access services and mere transmission and analyze the civil liability of each of them and especially Internet browsers in the frameworks of international, regional and national laws, as well as the evolution of relevant jurisprudence. |
