| Sumario: | In the present work we try to reflect the problems, as noted by the scientific community and by the Pope, which are generated by the great technological advances in recent decades. Currently, between all the topics of concern to humanity as a whole, there are two issues that are drawing attention: pollution and information and communication. At first glance, you might think that these two issues have nothing in common, however, the cost of technological development can become too high, since information technology is one of the industries that produces more pollution. In this regard, the Laudato Si Encyclical warns about environmental deterioration, proposes a new universal solidarity and encouraged to develop environmentally friendly technologies at a global level. This work, following the methodology of the Encyclical, will detail the incidence of informatics in the different areas and will describe in general terms, each of the methods and eco-friendly computer products.
