Sumario:This study aims to analyze the difficult case of an Italian woman called Eluana Englaro, who was in a car accident in 1992. She spent 17 years in a coma and was maintained on artificial life support. Her medical evaluation would not let her express any desire consciously, sparking controversy over euthanasia in Italy, with mobilization linked to the Catholic Church. Groups who are against this practice addressed the right to life through a different point of view, in which it holds a systematic interpretation of the Constitution, giving you a link to the principle of human dignity.
